The blooming of apple trees in May looks like a snowfall suspended over the meadows of Faller

This is the realm of the Prussian apple, or Pom Prussian, which arrived in Sovramonte at the beginning of the 20th century with workers returning from Prussia. It is a red apple with yellow stripes and a medium-high size. It is very crunchy, rich in protein, and has low sugars. The acidic aftertaste also makes it fresh and sparkling. With its unmistakable taste, it has become the symbol of the redemption of a land where life is tough, but strongly authentic. From the expanses of blooming apple trees, looking up, the eyes get lost in the immensity of the Feltrine Peaks that show their majesty. The Prussian Apple should be tried in the countless recipes in which it is the star, perhaps in October, when Faller hosts the fair dedicated to it. Thanks to this fruit, in Faller, a differentiated hotel has been born, characterized by groups of residences scattered throughout the village, which has allowed for the recovery of the economy of this mountain town, and a short and simple itinerary, suitable for all those who wish to immerse themselves in the knowledge of the extraordinary biodiversity of this small village.
